Statement is seeking a content director to join our growing, women-led creative team. The right candidate is an exceptional writer, digital chameleon and enthusiastic collaborator. Part creative visionary and part get-it-done multitasker, you’ll lead a variety of content initiatives for our lineup of clients in tech, healthcare and financial services.
What you’ll need:
- A minimum of 5 years of copywriting and content strategy experience, ideally in an agency environment
- Demonstrated success in developing, executing and optimizing content marketing campaigns across multiple digital channels, including email, social and web
- A command of the full content creation process, from discovery and research through writing and QA
- A gift for turning technical concepts into content that people actually want to read
- Experience in tech, product marketing and financial services preferred
- A deep and abiding love of Associated Press style (and ability to root out copy errors in any document)
- A thirst for digital marketing and brand strategy, tech and trends
- Experience managing and editing the work of other copywriters is a big plus
- Experience working in Asana and Google Drive a plus
What you’ll do for us:
- Serve as an advocate and interpreter for our clients, translating their business goals and direction into content that helps them reach their audiences
- Own all content workstreams for assigned clients, including web content, blogs, emails and social media
- Maintain content calendars and develop topics based on brand objectives, competitor research and past performance
- Identify opportunities to build social following and engagement for clients, including commenting and engaging with other relevant channels
- Develop content in a variety of formats from concept to completion and manage the work of other writers (both internal and external) to ensure all content meets client standards
- Work closely with our design team to conceptualize content that plays nicely with design across all digital formats
- Develop and maintain brand and editorial standards for each client and ensure overall accuracy and quality of content
- Compile monthly social analytics and draw insights to shape content strategy
- Identify priorities and manage multiple deadlines independently
What we’ll do for you:
- Give you the chance to build your creative and leadership skills
- Encourage you to learn, experiment and bring fresh ideas to the table
- Trust you to own your work and measure success by outputs, not inputs
- Never ask you to work all weekend
- Support you as a professional and a person – we’re a friendly and focused group of women creatives who work hard and have fun together
You’ll fit in here if you’re:
- A go-getter (you don’t sit around to be told what to do, and a little ambiguity doesn’t scare you)
- A creative at heart (everyone always thought you’d grow up to be a writer)
- Responsible (people always liked working on group assignments with you in school)
- Curious (you start with “why?”)
- Meticulous (you always notice misspelled words in emails)
- A digital native (you know your CMS from your SEO)
- Positive (no bad vibes or blaming welcome here)
This is a three-month contract position with potential to extend or come on board full-time.
