Contract B2B Senior Copywriter

Statement is seeking a copywriter for a one month engagement 8/9/2021-9/3/2021, with potential to extend. The right candidate is an exceptional writer and editor who’s passionate about digital marketing trends and has definite opinions on the Oxford comma.

You’ll work alongside our content director and our clients in financial services, tech and healthcare to tell compelling brand stories and power effective content marketing programs.

What you’ll need:

  • 3-5 years of copywriting/content creation experience, either in an agency environment or as part of an in-house brand team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the financial services and technology industries
  • Experience working within large brand programs strongly preferred
  • Expertise in developing, maintaining and enforcing brand editorial standards
  • A gift for turning technical concepts into content that people actually want to read
  • A strong understanding of content marketing, digital channels and integrated campaigns
  • A deep and abiding love of Associated Press style and the ability to root out copy errors in any document
  • Experience working in Asana and Google Drive a plus

What you’ll do for us:

  • Work with our content director to develop creative ideas that advance brand and business objectives for our clients
  • Develop content in a variety of formats from concept to completion, including email, social media, sales collateral, ads, web content and long-format pieces
  • Serve as main editor and quality control on all content, including proofing long-form reports, blogs, sales collateral and other materials
  • Work closely with our design team to conceptualize content that plays nicely with design across all formats
  • Uphold and refresh content standards as needed, based on evolving brand needs and editorial style rules
  • Identify priorities and manage multiple deadlines independently
