Freelance Brand Strategist

Overview:

Statement helps marketing leaders of mission-driven organizations carve a path to impact through purposeful creative. We’re seeking a freelance brand strategist to support a variety of initiatives for our growing agency. Our ideal candidate is a digital native who blends creativity and technical skills to bring brand stories to life. Remote candidates welcome.

What We’re Looking For:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in brand strategy/planning/communications – agency experience strongly preferred  
  • Expertise in leading interviews, combing through research, facilitating client workshops, uncovering insights, and writing creative briefs
  • The ability to generate multiple creative ideas quickly, then collaborate with team members to validate them
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
What You’ll Do:
  • Collaborate with our account and creative team to lead client brand strategy workshops
  • Interact directly with clients as the strategic lead to communicate findings and present work
  • Manage project plan, timeline, and deliverables alongside account and creative team
  • Implement creative deliverables like brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, and communications plans
  • Work closely with senior copywriters and designers to execute work (website, social, email, etc)
  • Familiarity with Asana or similar project management systems is preferred
