Freelance Digital Marketing Copywriter

Overview:

Statement helps marketing leaders of mission-driven organizations carve a path to impact through purposeful creative. We’re seeking a freelance digital marketing copywriter to support a variety of initiatives for our growing agency. Our ideal candidate is a digital native who blends creativity and technical skills to bring brand stories to life across social, web, email and other channels. Remote candidates welcome.

What We’re Looking For:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a copywriter or similar role – agency experience strongly preferred  
  • Industry knowledge in financial services or related industries preferred 
  • A gift for turning even complex concepts into content that’s engaging and shareable 
  • The flexibility to write in a variety of styles for diverse audiences, adapting your voice to each client and project with ease
  • A strong understanding of current best practices for social, email and web 
  • The ability to generate multiple creative ideas quickly, then collaborate with team members to validate them 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills – you confidently develop and present your work to colleagues, then interpret and apply feedback effectively
  • A meticulous eye for detail, deep love of Associated Press style and the ability to root out copy errors in any document
What You’ll Do:
  • Support content creation for multiple clients and projects in a fast-paced, quick-turn environment, with a heavy focus on social (primarily LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram) and email
  • Edit client-supplied content as needed to adhere to content and brand standards
  • Collaborate with design as needed to tell brand stories effectively across channels with words, images and sounds
  • Make sure all work meets editorial and client brand standards – familiarity with complex brand systems is a big plus
  • Familiarity with Asana or similar project management systems is preferred
